I first became involved in working for Alpha after leaving university, I wanted to take a year off to decide which career direction I wanted to go in and I’ve been with the company ever since!

I really enjoy the work that I do for Alpha especially interacting with our clients, receiving great feedback about our courses and work at Alpha HQ is a real buzz and well worth all the hard work.

I am married with two independent boys (men) one runs the family business which we have owned for 12 years now.

My wife and I live down on the Sussex coast having spent 12 months completely refurbishing our  new home. My responsibilities involve looking after the branding style for Alpha Training and Rescue 2, all design related projects including the website, printed materials, email marketing… and keeping the social media and news blogs up to date online with the latest Alpha and Rescue 2 news.

I’ve been involved with the design and websites for Alpha for many years now, and it has been hugely satisfying to see them grow and expand into the vibrant and exciting company that they are today.  So I was extremely excited to be invited to work with them on a more permanent basis at their Training Academy in Poling.

Personally, I am married to Helen, and between us we have 4 boys – so spare time is rare!  I love the outdoors, walking, and spend as much time as possible on our local beach at Shoreham by Sea.  I trained in Taekwondo for many years, and also played Rugby for Worthing.  I also enjoy all racquet sports, love live music, and sing in the Brighton Rock Choir.

Joe Nieser

Equipment and Logistics Assistant

Email Joe

My main role is to assist the Rescue 2 Equipment and Logistics Manager, with the maintainance and servicing of the huge array of equipment, ensuring the Rescue 2 team and the trainers have correct and suitable equipment for each job.

Working at Alpha Training and Rescue 2, came out of nowhere really but as soon as I heard about the opportunity I knew it would be something I would really enjoy doing.
Dealing with all the various equipment that the company uses I find endlessly interesting and I can’t wait to expand my knowledge in all areas of the companies ever evolving needs, learn some new skills on the way and hopefully help some people in the process, but with the great team of people they have here I’m sure there will be no end as to what they can teach me.

While I’m not working I enjoy being outside, working out, heading down to Cornwall to go surfing (one day I will move there) and taking part in various and obscure extreme sports, however an evening in playing video games or binge watching Game of Thrones is never a bad option in my book.

Hi I’m Tony, and have recently retired from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, having served 32 years.

I held a Senior Supervisory role for quite a few years.

As well as training and assessing for Alpha Training, I also get involved with our sister company, Rescue2 in a team leader role.

My spare time is spent looking after my young son, getting to the gym, travelling to new places, oh and, frustratingly, supporting LFC!!
