Alpha Training recently worked with a large Groundwork and Civil Engineering Company that operates in the South East of England.  A last-minute training requirement meant that the client urgently needed a group of eight staff to be trained in City & Guilds Medium Risk Confined Spaces.  Due to operational pressures on resources they were unable to take all eight delegates off work for the full two days during the week to attend the training course.

Liaising closely with the Trainer and Client, the Alpha Training team quickly provided a bespoke solution by organising a course at our Training Academy in Poling, West Sussex.  Having decided to run the course over a Friday and Saturday and moving the start time of the course to an earlier 7.30am, enabled the group to finish early on the Saturday.  Our Confined Space training site in West Sussex has been designed to provide hands-on and classroom learning facilities within close proximity of one another, so that the theoretical knowledge can be applied in a real-life environment straight away.

As a result of working together, Alpha Training were able to provide the required course within the given time frame.  The flexible approach to days and timings ensured that the delegates were only away from their work site for one day, and that they could capably and confidently complete the new contract they had been given.  Holding the course at our Training Academy meant that all delegates were able to attend the training in the same location within easy access of their usual place of work.

The feedback from all the delegates on the course was very positive, they were very grateful for the flexibility and overall approach of putting the customer’s needs and requirements first.  The customer has since been in touch to book further training courses.
