The Confined Space Awareness course is designed to give individuals a basic safe working knowledge and understanding of basic confined space working including safe entry and exit procedures along with an overview of various items of safety equipment. This is designed to promote safer working within the confined space environment.

This course is designed for people who require a basic understanding of confined spaces but will not be entering a confined space.

Course content includes:

  • Health and safety legislation overview
  • Confined space regulations
  • Risk assessment
  • Gas and environment monitoring
  • Hazardous Environments
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Safety equipment
  • Escape breathing apparatus
  • Safe entry procedures
  • Safe working procedures
  • Safe exit procedures
  • Emergency arrangements
  • Practical demonstration of equipment where possible
  • Company specific confined space policy and procedures

This training is run by our very own training team of qualified and experienced emergency medical technicians and confined space specialist rescue instructors. All courses can be run at our dedicated training centre in West Sussex, or if you prefer at your own premises.
