
Harness Inspection

This course is designed to train delegates in the correct inspection regime and methods of inspecting safety harnesses and associated equipment across differing environments for working at height, as in a company appointed person. The Course is specifically designed for any person who is involved with working with harnesses in the workplace.
Course content includes:
- Health & Safety at Work Legislation and Regulations
- Identifying types of fall arrest / restraint equipment
- Selecting fall arrest / restraint equipment
- Trace-ability
- CE Markings
- Correct fitting of harnesses
- Shock absorbing lanyards and fall arrest blocks
- Anchor points and connectors
- Care and maintenance of equipment
- Inspection of harnesses and recording requirements
- Manufacturers instruction manual (MIM) and associated paperwork
- Assessment paper
