Who is this course for?
This course is designed to give anyone the necessary skills to safely carry out basic life support including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) which will increase the chances of a more positive outcome for a casualty in cardiac arrest.
This qualification is designed to show delegates how to safely use an Automated External Defibrillation (AED) to support good basic life support skills.
On successful completion of this course and assessment, the delegate will be able to carry out basic life support with the aid of an AED unit to a competent and safe standard. Deal with incident safety management and know how to maintain and test the equipment used.

A combination of classroom based activity, syndicate working and Presentation/demonstrations, practical application and question and answer paper. A wide range of video and photographic material is used to enhance the learning experience for delegates.
