One of the largest privately owned construction firms in the UK contacted Alpha to say that their usual training provider had let them down at the last minute for an Emergency First Aid at Work course the next day.
The course had been scheduled with a group of 12 attending. If the company had had to cancel the course at short notice there would have been cost implications and possible key first aiders who were not fully trained, putting their employees at risk.
Emily Godward, Customer and Training Support Coordinator for Alpha, took the client’s telephone call and reassured her that it was likely we could step in to assist with the training delivery.
However due to the course being the next day she needed to confirm one of our training team was definitely available. Emily finished the telephone call with the client at 3.15pm and within 15 minutes had scheduled and confirmed a trainer to deliver the course. The client was swiftly informed and an email confirming the booking was sent out within 15 minutes.
The course took place the next day and was delivered by one of Alpha’s qualified trainers. Although there were some logistical challenges with the venue on arrival, he was quick to adapt and the course was delivered.
Our trainer received excellent feedback on the course, and certification was sent off to the HR team upon receipt of the payment of invoice.
During the course one of the delegates had mentioned about not knowing the location of their AEDs they had on site; this was relayed back to Emily who arranged for some complimentary AED signage to be posted out to them the next day.
